FAQ

Direct answers about Vibeocus.

Simple answers about the app, privacy, sync, agents, pricing, and what Vibeocus is built to do.

What is Vibeocus?

Vibeocus is a local-first macOS control center for AI-built projects. It helps you organize tasks, documents, project rules, Git activity, secrets, Markdown vaults, Freeform boards, widgets, and MCP agent workflows in one workspace.

Is Vibeocus an IDE?

No. Vibeocus is not a code editor. It is a workspace for managing project context around your code: tasks, docs, rules, Git activity, secrets, notes, visual boards, and AI-agent workflows.

Does Vibeocus store my code on its servers?

No. Vibeocus is local-first. Your workspace data stays on your Mac unless you choose to sync, export, expose, or share selected data.

How does iCloud sync work?

Vibeocus can export selected workspace snapshots to your own iCloud so your iPhone companion app and widgets can read them. Your Mac remains the main source of truth.

What is MCP in Vibeocus?

MCP lets compatible coding agents work with selected Vibeocus context. Agents can read project rules, inspect approved documents or notes, create tasks, and build Freeform boards depending on what you allow.

Who is Vibeocus for?

Vibeocus is for developers, solo builders, founders, and AI-coding users who want to keep project context organized while working with tools like Codex, Claude Code, OpenCode, Gemini CLI, Cursor, and other coding agents.

When should someone use Vibeocus?

Use Vibeocus when AI coding work starts producing more tasks, files, commits, notes, secrets, and decisions than you can comfortably track across separate tools.

Is Vibeocus open source?

No. Vibeocus is proprietary software. It may include third-party open-source components, with notices provided where required.

What platforms does Vibeocus support?

Vibeocus is built for macOS. An iPhone companion app is planned for checking project snapshots, tasks, notes, Git updates, and workspace status through iCloud sync.

How much does Vibeocus cost?

The early access license is $49.99 per year and includes activation for up to 2 Macs plus the iPhone companion app where available.
